Today is my birthday! My children made me a birthday video, complete with music, which they showed me first thing this morning (to justify why they had to stay up very late last night working on it). Madeline gave me some cute ladybug thumbtacks and notepad. Scott gave me a Zune. This is actually my 2nd Zune, but Madeline confiscated my first one after explaining to me that I didn't need it as much as someone who was going to junior high..
This past weekend, we drove to Leavenworth to buy apples. It's become a somewhat annual tradition. The Honeycrips apples are so good, and 99 cents/lb. I have a great recipe for apple butter, which is what I'll do with a lot of these.
