Wrapping up the school year

Today was the last day of early-morning seminary for the year!!!  She did it!  I am so proud of Madeline (and myself).  Sister Roll gave each of the kids a class picture.  On the back of the picture, were comments that the kids had written about each other.  Madeline's list said:
  • You're nice.
  • Gives comments often
  • Always nice to others
  • Very bright!
  • You're so quirky--in a good/cute way!
  • You are so sweet!  I always look forward to seeing your smile!
  • Always thinks of others before herself
  • You have a vast knowledge of the gospel
  • You are always on time and never miss a day!
  • Very positive.  Great debater and friend.  Always knows how to make me laugh.
  • I like your hair, and you make good comments in class.
The quirky comment was my favorite!  Last night Madeline was inducted into the National Honor Society at school.  To be admitted, she had to have a high gpa (hers is 4.00!) and contribute at least 8 hours service to the community which she did by tutoring a student at school.  Here's the video of her being made an honorary knight (since the school mascot is a knight).

Her comment after the ceremony was, "Receiving the pencil just validated the entire evening."  I love her sense of humor.  Yes, they were given a pencil.  Not sure if that is better than nothing.
In other family news, Austin performed as Puck in his class play "A Mid-summer Night's Dream".  He was amazing and got the loudest applause!  I will post some pictures as soon as the other mothers send me some, since our camera is still being fixed since the unfortunate capsizing incident in Lake Washington.  This is all I have to show with my old camera.
